Oral Maxillofacial Surgery
Amish Patel
Amish Patel is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who works in both the public and private sector, and moved to the Geelong area recently in early 2019.
Amish completed both his Dentistry (Manchester 2001) and Medical (Barts 2010) degrees in United Kingdom where he is originally from. He spent a few years in a dental practice before embarking on the pathway to specialisation, including rotations in London, Nottingham, Bristol and Manchester. He moved to Australia in 2011 and completed advanced specialist training in Victoria at the beginning of 2017.
He then embarked on two years of fellowship training. This included sub-speciality fellowships in Orthognathic Surgery at Royal Melbourne Hospital and TMJ surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital, followed by a year at the prestigious Oxford University Hospital (UK) specialising in Head and Neck oncology.
Amish enjoys all facets of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including facial trauma, deformity, implantology and wisdom teeth surgery, in addition to the sub specialities mentioned above. He incorporates modern technology into his practice, and often will use computer assisted 3D planning to help patients achieve the best outcome in implant, orthognathic and TMJ surgery.
He holds public appointments at University Hospital Geelong, Western Hospitals and The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. He also offers zoom consultations. Amish has an interest in education and teaching, and supervises advanced surgical OMFS trainees. Additionally, he is a lecturer for medical and dental students in Victoria and NSW.
In his spare time, he loves playing cricket (much to his wife’s disgust), golf, squash and even used to work as a dive master and instructor in Honduras. On occasion, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Prosthodontics
Graham Woolley
Graham Woolley worked in general dental practice for over 12 years, before commencing his training as a specialist Prosthodontist. He obtained a Masters Degree in Prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne, School of Dental Science, in 2002.
Since then he has worked as a consultant for the Australian Defence Force in Victoria, a Senior Lecturer at the Melbourne School of Dental Science and in specialist private practice.
Graham was awarded specialist Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2011.
His time is currently divided between specialist private practice and postgraduate teaching, in Victoria, Australia.
He presents over 40 lectures per year for the Dental School, The Australian Dental Association and various other societies and study groups around Victoria.

Michael Stubbs
Associate Professor Michael Stubbs has trained as a dentist and then specialised in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with facial or jaw pain that is not derived from the teeth.

Assoc. Stubbs also diagnoses and manages any disorder or disease involving the mouth or jaws and sleep apnoea/snoring disorders with the use of custom made dental devices.

Kiddies Dental Care have been providing comprehensive dental care for children from birth to 16 years of age since 2006. The aim is to ensure that your child begins with their dental experience in a positive and happy manner that will carry through to their adult years. Paediatric dentistry is a specialist field for infants, children and adolescents. The specialty training involves many years of post-graduate study and working in hospitals and clinics dedicated to caring for children.
Kiddies Dental Care love working with children and special needs patients. Dr Kar Mun Chan is looking forward to working with the Ballarat community for our paediatric dental needs along with providing ongoing support to our local dentists for referrals for hospital treatment, allowing their patients to remain closer to home and avoid travel to Melbourne hospitals.
